I like my Glock 30. I have three Glocks and it is my favorite. Never had a problem with it. 0 -
Both are decent firearms...try both, you may like the way one feels in your hands better than the other... 0 -
Polygonal barrel on Glock does not work well with lead bullets. XD 45's have feeding problems with anything other then round nose bullets, I am not sure if XDM's do as well 0 -

I have XDs in all calibers and an XDm in .40. I have never had problems feeding with any brand or type of ammunition. I run hollow points through all of them regularly with no issues.
The early suggestion to shoot both and see which fits your hands and shooting style the best is in my opinion the best answer. I own both and shoot both. You should purchase what you like the best.0 -
Im a Sheriff's Officer / Investigator and am issued a glock 30 as my duty weapon. It has been fired thousands of rounds with out failure of any kind. YES Glock does not rec lead rounds. I shoot Gold Dot HP and Remington HP. Hydroschocks and Federal Tactical. All work just fine. If your are a reloader I would stick with jacketed rounds. I cant praise my Glock 30 .45 enough. My only experience with the Sspringfield Armory XD in .45 has been the full size. Even so i loke the Glock much better. Layne12gun 0 -
