Repairing H&R 926
I have one at the local gunsmith, and the cylinder won't always advance. He's had it since October 2008 and it still ain't fixed. He says its some kind of spring that needs to be bent around a bunch of different other parts and soldered in at both ends, and that it breaks if you breathe on it wrong and he can't work on it for more than 1/2 an hour before wanting to throw it across the room.
Barring taking it to another gunsmith, is this something an amateur could fix? Mind you, I'm good with "fiddly" stuff like this. I'm going to call the only other smith within a reasonable driving distance and see what he says, but I would appreciate all expert advice that can be had.
Thanks, in advance!
