Ithaca deerslayer ,Sid Bell grip cap
Do you know anything about Ithaca 37s with a red gripcap,made in 80's I believe,with a deer , pheasant ,etc? Thanx Gordon

No , I don't but if you're wondering if there is any extra value I would doubt it. I like 37's but they are on the minor edge of collectability, even for nice 20 guage from the 40's and 50's. 0 -
The Sid Bell designed pistol grip cap adds a nice touch to a M37,one of my 37's is so adorned, and I love it, but I also doubt if it adds anything significantly to the value of the gun. Sid Bell was a noted wildlife artist and did a lot of small wildlife designs for guns, grips, jewelery, and knives. I've heard he designed the guthook knife blade.
His works or designs are sold occasionally on major internet auction sites.0
