RRA 9mm Lower Receiver
Will a Rock River 9mm lower with the mag adapter and 9mm magazines work for a .40 caliber RR upper? Or would I need to change out the adapter and mags and replace them with a .40 caliber adapter and mags?

You mean no one knows the answer to my question? Come on, somebody has to know! 0 -
Rogue I looked in my 2011 RRA catalog and it showed the .40 as having it's own integral magwell. It also stated the 9mm uses Uzi or Colt mags--didn't specify for the .40 which ones it uses nor are the .40 mags available to buy as accessories either in the catalog or the website like all their other mags are. Not saying they won't sell you mags-they just don't show them for sale. Not sure if it's like with the .458 SOCOM where you can use 5.56 mags but the capacity is just reduced. They have a toll free number 866-980-ROCK.
Love my RRA --bet one in .40 would be a lot of fun.0 -
I thought I was taking the lazy way of getting an answer fast by posting here before I called RRA.
With this 9mm magwell, I'd like to keep it installed and swap the 9mm and a new .40 upper that I'm eyeing and use them together. If I have to change magwells, then I'll pass on the .40 upper.
Hey, thanks for your help.0 -
There is a site that specifically deals with AR15 and it has an industry section with a specific RRA forum. I have gotten some good RRA information there. 0 -
