Colt Trooper MK III 38 Special CTG.

Hello all. I just purchased my first colt revolver and I am very excited about it. My only concern is that I am not able to find much on this gun. As mentioned in the topic the barrel has "Trooper MK III * 38 Special CTG *" on it. I have looked at several websites and I am able to find the Trooper MK III in the .357 Mag but nothing really on the 38 Special. The serial number is J235XX. Any help you can provide about the gun and potential value would be appreciated. It does have minor holster wear on both sides on the barrel (tip). Also I do not have the box or any paperwork goodies. Thank again for any assistance you may be able to provide! I attempted to post pictures but was unable to determine how at this time.

  Also failed to mention that this one has the shroud over the shell ejector rod. Not sure if that makes a big difference or not but thought it may be worth mentioning as I have seen several without that. Thanks

  According to the BB the MK III was the redesigned/economical version of the original Trooper made between the late 60's and mid 80's. It was made in .38 Spc. as well as other calibers.
  
  My WAG, given it's .38 spc. and with the holster wear your probably looking at between $250-$350. Likely one in .357 or .22 would be a lot better seller.
