savage 720 12ga question
its based on the browning a5, the ramington model 11 is like it.
what is the main difference between the forearm stocks on the three?
i see the two little pegs coming out the back of the browning forearm, on the rem & savage i dont see them.
will a browning a5 forearm stock fit a 720 savage? looks like i would just have to remove the pegs since there is no holes for them on my 720.

the three you mention are all build on the Browning long recoil system and use similar parts. Note I said 'similar', parts generaly do not interchange between the three. Some parts can be made to fit, but they are not 'drop-in'. Have you tried (gunpartscorp.com) for a forend?, there are other parts suppliers out there too. 0 -
well, i just won this one to fit it to this gun. hope its not too much work.
Have dremmel will grind.
Should fit as this is actually a remington 11 forend not a browning from what i can tell.
Just have to remove the two little nubs on the front i think.
If not i will relist it on fleabay or something, maybe hold onto it for a future project who knows.

Hello,
I installed a Browning A-5 barrel on a 720. The only fitting required was to file down the ejector a little so it would not contact the bolt. I do not know about the forearm though the gun worked perfectly with the invector choke barrel.0 -
