Krupp side by side 16 gauge
I have a side by side 16 gauge shotgun, ornately engraved, exposed hammers, 30 inch barrels with engraving & gold inlay, monte carlo stock, sling swivel and the only identification is located on the chamber end of the barrels. Crown over ornate eagle with Krupp Scher Flu$$$tahl on the chamber end of both barrels. I understand it means
Krupp Fluid Steel, but I have no idea of the value, etc. Any ideas.

You may get better info from the German gun collector's site. Just Google it. 0 -
The monte carlo stock suggests the wood is not original. 0 -
i don't know that krupp made shotguns, there are other german shotguns that i know that have similar markings that were not made by krupp. 0 -
Krupp was a steel manufacturer. Many German gun manufacturers bought their steel & stamped their name on guns they made.
You will need to post photos of your shotgun, including close-ups of all markings.

The noted stamping is probably not the only marking since most of the proof marks and makers marks are hidden.
Please remove the forearm and look at the underside of the barrels. Then separate the barrels from the action and look at the water table and the underside of the barrels that rests on the water table. Good, sharp photographs of those marks will help us tell you some of the background of your shotgun.

Yes, Krupp was a steel designation, but your post has some similarities to a barrel,forearm, and lockwork that I have.
Do any of the markings look like this ?
Particularly the mating water-table surface.
I had posted a 'what is this' years ago. Some markings are not seen because of the glare from the flash...they were not polished off.
This was found in a cake of grease and placed in re-circulating petro-solvent, washed and brushed clean.
