Krag 1896 Carbine
I have a Springfield 30-40 Krag serial # 357xx... It appears to have been refinished.. and shows no rust. It was a gift from my father from his father..no other history.
There seems to be no paper trail for this carbine, altho' there is for one that is 20+ numbers away, if that is worth mentioning??
I have shot this one, though I'm not an expert shot, it seens to be accurate.
I have pix, altho' not true close up's... but I honestly don't know how to upload to the net... I can send to an email if anyone cares to see them.. they are high resolution pix.
Like everyone else, I would like to think this carbine is worth tons of money... but would settle for less.. smile.
Any info about pricing would be welcome

Serial number range could be correct, but as the Model 96 rifles were in the same range, it could be a cut down rifle. Need quality photos for accurate identification and valuation.
