Winchester 1873, 1st Model

Serial number 453x, I picked this up from the gentleman
as I had listed in previous posts, attatched are the photos. The first step when I get time will be to remove the wood and use Kroil on the metal. I have ordered the Winchester Lever Action Rifle Vol 1 Book-1866 1873 1876. I am going to find the parts needed to complete the rifle.
The barrel was cut and I will leave it until I can locate one that matches the gun. No pitting on the metal. Any other suggestions will be helpful. Thank you.
