    Howdy beltfed,

...rate among the FALS/going rate?-- Quality right up there, manufactured by Argentine govt arsenal. If all original, not a parts imported rifle then slapped together by U.S.companys,(which should be marked so on the U.S. made reciever), could go 2 to 3 times the rate of what you see for the parts versions. Or more, easy, but hard to judge the market.

EditGary-- right you are... "the FAL was the standard Argentine battle rifle in the Falklands War (which didn't turnout so good for them!)", 'cause guess what they were up against, the Brit's L1A1 Fal version.

beltfed.....while I can't specifically answer your question as to a FAL as I do not have one, I do have several Argentine factory made military weapons (1911 clones including Navy, AForce and Army, FN's, and many older rifles)and their quality is excellent so if, as indicated, all the parts #'s match, I wouldn't worry about buying it if everything else is right, including price. You might think about posting some photos so our Experts can give you a better apprasial. If memory serves me, the FAL was the standard Argentine battle rifle in the Falklands War (which didn't turnout so good for them!)[:)]

Before you go and pay big bucks for it, make sure it's legal. You don't want somebody dropping a dime on you, giving the JBT's an excuse for kicking in your door at 6AM.

I wasn't aware that any of the MILITARY Argentine FAL's were ever allowed to be imported. As their receivers had the capability to be converted to selective fire, even though they weren't normally used in that mode by the Argentine Army.

Check the receiver to see it it is a real Argentine or made in the USA with the rifle built on a parts kit. Actual FM made FAL rifles were imported by Pedro Bella of West Palm Beach, FL in extremely limited numbers before the 1989 Bush Ban. If it is marked Pedro Bella
it is worth a couple of grand easily. If it is a parts gun then it is worth the cost of teh receiver, parts kit and gunsmithing time.
