very small french? pistol

Can anyone help me with this lovely little pistol, looks like a 22 calibre , maybe a little larger, has very distinct almost floral engravings, no model number or anything observablle. i am looking for a possible age and value. Obtained in Peru. Sorry the close-up is not so good.

  A common small caliber pinfire, probably Belgian. Look for the letters E over LG in a small oval, somewhere on the cylinder. They are not high value guns and it is missing the ejector rod that would have been in the sleeve in front of cylinder on right side.

  The heyday of the Pinfire revolvers were the 1850's & 60's, when they were then superseded by rimfires and centerfires. Although they were made in Belgium as late as the early 20th Century. Yours could date between 1860 and 1910 because of this. Don't know about Peru, but the later non military, small caliber ones, have little value in the States.

  Typical European pinfire, if it looks like a .22 then it is likely a 6mm, maybe 7mm.
  
  If it has the ELG or perron proof marks, it is Belgian, if not, it might be Spanish or German pre 1891.
  
  Not worth much.
