What can you tell me about this gun. The info I have is, Italy made, 1863 58 caliber blackpower and it has a stamp on the right side ahead of the hammer the states, Navy Arms Co. with the picture of an eagle over the writing. Serial # is ANZ 3622. I believe that this is a reproduction of a civil war gun.

  Navy Arms Company has been a importer of Italian made replica Black Powder firearms for at least 50 years. Your rifle is a reproduction of a U.S. Civil War Black Powder rifled musket.
  
  Antonio Zoli is a very well know Italian firearms manufacturer. Primarily shotguns, but some rifles and combination guns have also been made by Zoli over the years. As most of the guns made by Zoli are high dollar sporting arms, I was never aware that they also made relatively inexpensive BP replicas for Navy Arms, years ago. You can date your rifle by the Italian proof marks, one of which is a coded date.

  Zoli was well-known for making replicas of the Remington "Zouave" rifle in the 1960's & 70's. Does your rifle look like this?
