remington 722
anyone remeber the remington 722 in 257 roberts? what would be the value of one in 90% cond .it has a old bausch lomb 4x scope with the older mounts ,the adjustments are all in the mount not the scope.thanks in advance ,keep on bangin boys ,don

I've got a friend that has a 722 in .222. He says he's all over the paper with every kind of ammo he shoots. I've got the same gun, same caliber, shoots clovers all day with my reloads. He says everythings tight, Scope is good(old weaver post). He's going to bring it to me to look at. I'm going to try to work up a load for it. Where do I start in trying to find a problem with this gun? I'm going to try cleaning out any copper fouling first thing, but he says it hasn't been shot much. 0 -

Not so concerned about value. The rifle will stay in the family. More interested in year, scope paticulars. Rifle is in excellent shape. He would like to know value, but if he sells it due to high value instead of giving it to me because I love the stock and old scope I will hunt you down and*******. Just joking acurate value would also be appreciated. 0 -

Welcome to the forum. Sans pictures I think the best we can do is suggest that you go over to the auction side and look for completed auctions of 722's that appear to be similar to yours. Ballpark; at least in my neck of the woods: likely somewhere between 350 and 550. The K10 is a nice scope, assuming clear glass, but adds little to the overall value. What's the caliber? .222??? Does sound like a nice outfit. Keep it in the family!0 -

After doing more research the last two digets on the left side of the barrel had to be letters not numbers as I posted 44. I will double check and re submit. 0 -
