Liquor guns & Ammo radio program

Anyone ever hear it on News/Talk 97.1 in St. Louis? Recently they told a caller that a Harrington & Richards "Handy Gun" shotgun was a LEGAL 100 year old "relic". And advised them to put it in a shadow box and hang it on their wall for display.
This completely goes against everything I've ever heard. Anyone living in the St. Louis area might want take advice given on this program w/a grain of salt.

  Had an idiot bring one to a gun show several years ago. The "Cop" at the door put a plastic tie on it and let him in with it. When he popped it out of his bag, I asked him if he had the proper documents he needed to possess it, and he didn't. My partner told him what he needed to know, but of course he didn't believe him. We told him we would not even TOUCH it, and to kindly move on. He came back a couple of hours later and apologised. Seems he had been told the same thing several times, so he had put it back in his car. Don't know who he was or what he did with it, thank goodness!

  Depends on the ga. or cal. They made one in 32-20 which is considered a handgun and does not have to be registered. The shotgun gages of course do. Many police have no idea about such things. I have seen them allow unrigistered full auto into shows. Way back the state of Ct. issued them to their game wardens. They did an inventory years ago and found a bunch missing and no idea where they went.

  The H & R Handy gun issue is often misunderstood. There is a lot of rumors that this particular gun was specifically removed from the NFA classification and considered a C&R title 1 firearm. Not true, even though it should be.
