.308 cal. Bullet sticks to magnet and has a Orange tip also a hollow base about 1/8" ??

Probably a M 25 Tracer, if it's a 30-06.

If there is what looks like a copper disc in the base, it still has the tracer element in it. Most likely 7.62X51.
