Rockola Questions

Have Rockola Carbine Ser.> 1694XXXX. BBL dated 3-43.The magazine release has a fully serrated face(type A ?) and marked BR is this correct or should it be smooth faced. Barrel band unmarked w/wide swivel aperture is this correct? Also No "P" marked on barrel below date. This was a bring back so no import stamps. Thanks to all in advance.

  I suspect you have one too many "X"s in the serial number. The seven digit version falls smack into the middle of the first Rockola serial number block.
  
  I'm sure others will chime in, but we really need pics.
