Misc Rifles

A friend of mine was left with several rifles (13) after her husband passed away recently. She asked me to help her get some information about them. Most of the guns are regular but there are a few that might be interesting. Here is the short list.

1- Ruger Carbine 44 Mag
2- Kruppsche "Drilling"
3- Thompson / Center Arms 50cal
4- No5MK1ROF(F)

I have the guns in hand for more info. I can post pics if needed. I'm looking for any information I can get. I can also post the rest of the list if anyone is interested. Thanks

  It would be best to post quality photos of each rifle as a separate topic. This would be the best way for our members to view them and be able to identify and value them.

  We certainly need pictures to be of more help to you. However, a short rundown of what you have:
  
  1. The Ruger Carbine in 44 mag is not a real rare gun but they hold enough interest in them to bring around $450. That is if it's in very good condition. Nothing too exciting about them, just the .44 cal version of the mini-14 pretty much.
  
  2. The Kruppsche "Drilling" could vary widely priced based on who made it. Kruppsche is the type of steel used. Pics and more searching for markings on it could give a much closer answer.
  
  3. I've assuming that is a Thompson Center .50 Cal black-powder rifle? If so, new they run up to $500 for the better models and as low as $200 for used stock models.
  
  4.No 5, Mk I, ROF. Sounds like an Enfield Jungle Carbine to me. At one time these were bringing in a bunch of money. Now it takes a pretty pristine one to command a near $1000 for one. Most will run in the $600-$800 range. Much less if the rifle isn't in good condition.

  There are multiple generations of Ruger 44 Mag carbines. If it's the first, which is a tube magazine fed semi auto? It would likely be worth more then $450.

  Look on the auction side for completed auctions to find similar guns to what you have. List the guns starting at a penny with crystal clear close up pictures for 14 days and you will get market value for them.

  I think I mis-spoke, The action is more like the 10-22. It's a blowback or delayed blowback.
  
  Since I'm not really on the collector side, I don't really differentiate the type of magazine and how rare it is. Although, I agree to a collector that means a lot. I'm more in it for the functionality of the rifle. Whether it's a tube fed or box fed magazine matters not to me as long as it works. If it doesn't work then it shouldn't be worth much. Some see that differently.
  
  Anyhow, I'm finding these running around $450. If the rare tube magazine shows up and someone wants that more then good for the seller because it's worth more to him.
