I buy shipping cases at BiMart for $13-$15 each, depending on sale cycle. Works for me.

Do u folks ship the guns in just the cases,or do u put a carboard box around the case?
sorry if a dumb question but I have long guns to be shipped also.

I was wanting to put the hard case inside a cardboard box. I've have a few issues with rifles shipped to me in just carboard alone, and didn't want this to happen to any customers - hence the hard case question.

I had to ship a shotgun for warranty work last fall; they asked me to cover the gun case in cardboard. No big deal.

Unless the gun wont move in the hardcase, there are better options. I was shipped a Browning A5 in a hard case but with all the rough handling the gun slide to the end and finally a hard jolt chipped the toe. UPS DID NOT pay the claim due to inadequate packaging. I ship quite a few guns. I buy a telescoping box 10 X 7 from Uline then wrap the gun in 4 inches of large bubble. 4 inches is the UPS guideline.I've never had damage

I make my own. Sheet of masonite and a hot glue gun and some framing clamps means I spend about $1-2 per case. Rather than have to charge the buyer all that extra. Plus it zips through my tablesaw fast after cutting in half with a jigsaw.

Mind you I don't do this for all guns, just the higher end ones I sell, and I sell rather infrequently so I only do this 2-3 times a year.
