FEG Pistols/Browning Copy
Anyone have any Info on the FEG Pistols/Browning Copies made in Hungary???

They are descent well made pistols. The most common one is the ex paramilitary model, with the alloy frame, chambered for the 9mm Makarov cartridge. Many of this model were imported and sold as surplus in the U.S. in recent years. Since they have stopped being imported their value has risen to the $200+ range. Only drawback with these pistols is because of their light weight, recoil with the 9mm Makarov cartridge is quite substantial. 0 -
The FEG PKG-9HP is a near clone of the Browning Model 35 "High Power" and from the ones I've seen, handled and shot - are excellent pieces for the money. Many of the parts (perhaps all) are interchangeable, except for the magazines. A GOOD value.
The gun rufe mentions is the PA-63 - which exteriorly resembles a Walther PP - I've carried one of these for my CCW - needed some break-in but was remarkably reliable and easy to carry.0 -
I have one of the FEG Browning HP clones that you mention and like it a lot. Have had it for many years and it is still going stong. It is pretty choosy on the 9mm ammo it likes to digest (no Mexican) but have good luck with Federal. While it is not a FN Model 35, it is darn close to it and it has always worked for me. It is robust, rather well made, and accurate. And it was about half the price of a M35! As mentioned, it has nothing to do with the PA 63 or PA 61 Walther PP/PPk clones also made by FEG in 9mm Mak. I bought my FEG HiPower clone used (gently)at a gunshop years ago and have never regreted it. Hope this helps[:)] 0 -
I have a FEG copy of the PPK in .380. Good pistol, reasonably priced with no frills. In fact it is more reliable than my Interarms-era .380 PPK/s was... so I sold the PPK/s and kept the FEG. 0
