1925 JP Sauer
I have the opportunity to purchase a 1925 JP Sauer 12ga shotgun. "Kruppwerks" is stamped on the 28.5" long barrels barrel. Chokes are .029 and .038. Gun is in excellent condition. Any estimates on the guns value would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well,,it looks to me like the checkering on the buttstock is worn down from use, like it should be, and poor varnish over that. So it is not graded excellent...Looks like a quality piece that was used...imo..nambu 0 -
Agreed, and the metal looks very black.
I think it has been refinished all over.
The key would be the action. Is it mechanically tight and not "off the face?"0 -

Factory originality and cosmetic condition has a great bearing on value.
If as our members suggest it has a fair amount of wear and has been refinished, this would have a negative affect on it's collectors value, and would put it in the "shooter" category.0 -

I think you can do better for that amount. Looks like it has been opened up, (screw slots damaged), Not really a good example of a Sauer. It is a 12 , most are 16 that may go either way with you on what you like. 0
