Wm Moore & Co Rifle
I have an old short barrel rifle marked WM Moore & Co. on the hammer plate. I am looking for information on history and possible value.

With all due respect, you have the gun and we don't so you have to be our eyes. Your question is the equivalent of "I have a Ford Mustang. I would like the history and value".

"Short barrel rifle" could be anything from an 1830s flintlock to a modern .22, but I'll guess that you have a percussion rifle, possibly made by William Moore of London 1854-1872. If so, it will have British proofmarks, probably on underside of barrel hidden by the stock. 0 -

Wm Moore was also a name commonly used for Belgian knockoffs which will be evident if it's stamped "ELG" under the barrel. Still, the information we need is seriously lacking and I hope the poster will provide the needed details.0
