Marlin .22 Commemorative

Anyone know what the value might be on this Marlin .22, model 6083, serial number WR000008. Has the gold emblem on the stock "Wagon Train Commemorative" Is it rare? Looking for any information.

  I don't know anything specific about your commemorative. Commemoratives only maintain their value to collectors who are interested in them, when they are new in the box untouched, with all paperwork and accessories just as they were shipped from the factory. I have seen prospective buyers going over them with a magnifying glass looking for any imperfections. If your rifle doesn't meet the above criteria, it being a commemorative, won't add any thing to it's value.

  It's not a cataloged commemorative. Likely one of many "promotional models" sold by Marlin to a distributor or Big Box Store. It's neither rare nor valuable.

  It sounds like you have an "OTASCO" (Oklahoma Tire And Supply COmpany)-commisioned comemorative. "60" is actually the Marlin model number, and "83" is the year it was issued. You should still check with the Marlin Owners' forum, for more information.
