Artillery Luger Stock?

Is it legal to put a reproduction shoulder stock on a 1917 LP08 all original Artillery Luger? I've searched the Web, and have only found confusing thoughts. From what I've gleaned, it's okay as a replacement if the pistol originaly had one and it's the correct style (not Navy). Is this correct?

  You can put a shoulder stock on any original semiauto Mauser broomhandle or Luger.
