32 H&R conversion

I have a Single Six in .32 H&R mag. and am thinking about a conversion to .327 Federal. I know Bowen does this conversion. Does anyone know of other smiths doing this work?

  It strikes me that no conversion is actually necessary if the only thing required is lengthening the depth of the chambers in the cylinder. Any competent Gunsmith who knows his way around machine tools and has the correct reamer could set it up in vertical mill and do the job. The only problem I see is if the original cylinder isn't long enough to chamber factory loaded .327 Federal cartridges.

  The Bowen conversion involves a new cylinder long enough for the .327. That makes it very expensive, $800 or more. I don't know of anybody else doing the work but I only checked Gallagher and Clemens today.
  
  There is a good deal of information on overloading the .32 H&R for use in strong guns like Rugers. A lot cheaper if you don't get carried away.
