sako l579 trigger?

ok so i had my sako L579 (.308) out last week after having adjusted the trigger BY THE MANUAL. and yes i adjusted lash and trigger pull screws. now questions is why can i not feel a diff from full tention to lest pull weight, i can feel a diff in lash but not in weight.

GUN IS 100% orig. and prob only fired less 100 rounds since new in '79

also should be stated that pull weight is supposed to be about 3.5-8 lbs swing IIRC i may be off in either direction of weight but should be close tho.
