No proof punch on my Garand 12SA W10B bolt.

There is a diamond just about a quarter inch below the bolt drawing number and heat treatment code; however, there is no proof mark anywhere to be found.

Did Springfield proof their guns before parkerizing?

Is this unusual to not have the bolt proof punch? The barrel is Danish proofed. I did not get the rifle from the CMP.
