Hey guys I'm thinking about putting a scope on m VZ24 and I was wondering if a Bolt from an actual K98 with the bent bolt handle would fit on the VZ24, they're essentially the same rifle more or less and I wouuld love to get this going so I can get a scope and get it setup.

    DerBarbarian,

I thought we covered this a few days ago?

If we weren't clear, the standard 'bent bolt' only has a radius which is created by heating and bending. It will NOT clear a modern ocular. I posted pictures previously which should have shown this. You need a bolt that is made to work with the scope.

    Best.

This is the third time you've asked the exact same question.

    See http://forums.gunbroker.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=515528

    and

Our answer hasn't changed. Namely, that yes the bolt will physically fit into the gun; however you will have to relieve wood from the stock for the bent 98 bolt to fit, and even the bent bolt will not clear a scope without further alteration.

I am sorry Jonk, I'm on alot of meds because I'm in chronic pain and have a severe joint condition, so sometimes i'm a little out of it, I didn't mean to be a nusicanse what so ever, I love this site. It was an honest mistake and I'm sorry for the multiple posts.

Oh it's no bother. We just get a lot of trolls here and it was starting to look suspicious. Anything we can do to help, just let us know. [:)]
