Winchester 1873 (after seeing the rifle) part 2
This is a followup to the ealier posting on a 4 digit 1873 rifle with a cut barrel.
He just called and offered it to me for $900.00.
It is missing a couple of springs and screws are wrong but the dust cover is there.
Any suggestions, Bert you advised it was at the high end at $ 1500.00
At $900 is the price right?

What is your intent? Rebuild it or part it out? Either way, $900 for a First Model 1873 with its original mortise cover is very cheap. 0 -
at this price I think I will rebuild it and hang on to it. For a couple of hundred it should be back into shootable condition. 0
