Its probably worth more. Dependent on condition. In excellent condition much more.

Search around and you will see.

In the condition you describe, it is worth less

In the condition you describe, $600 is more than fair. Although since it was passed down from your Dad it is priceless.

    Thanks guys.
    I generally
cruise the net in a situation
like this as I had and the prices
    are all over the board.

The condition of this IMHO doesn't
warrant the 6c's but I'll give it
to my brother to keep the 16 in the family.

I'm reluctant to give him any money
at all cause he'll buy liquid with it,
    if you get my drift

I hope not but I've tried everything
and he being a pigheaded Colege grad
    won't and I mean absolutely won't, get
    professional help.

Deep down in my heart I know this is a
    going away present.

edit: Ya know this isn't the place
to speak of personal issues -I thought-
but I've come to realize this forum ,prolly
the GD forum is full of really understanding
    folks---God bless one and all

rong, Your offer is probably more than market value, as some above have said but a year from it will make no difference if you gave $300 or $600. The difference in money will probably not change your life but letting the gun get out of the family would surely be a source of regret. From the situation you describe, I can assure you that your brother will not have that gun for long and it is better for you to have it than some pawn shop.
