Colt SAA 2nd generation

Hello, I inherited a Colt 2nd Generation in 44 special. From what I can determine it is a mid 2nd and is unfired in the Stagecoach box with a 7 1/2" barrel. I would like to know how many were made in 44sp. I have checked several Colt books with no luck. Thanks You in advance.

  Hello Not a big difference . But my reference say 7&1/2 inch blue 780
  5&1/2 inch blue 1150 7&1/2 inch nickel 60 5&1/2 inch nickel 130. my information came from MAN AT ARMS Magazine. I have a first Generation 44 Special have colt letter on the way. Really hope it is original only 507 total made
