what's it worth
I am looking at a Colt 1991A1 stainless compact model. Just wondering an aproximate value. stock condition extra magazine & shoulder holster.has a couple of light stains or rust in a couple of places..so much for that stainless thing! Haven't tried to clean it might just be chickin grease[:D]

JBiker......welcome to the GB Forum and thanks for your question. First, without photos we cannot begin to tell you what it is worth. But I can tell you something about it. It is a FN M1935 Browning High Power made under the German occupation. It is a later model with its E/WaA140 German Army Acceptance stamp (there were three waffen stamps and this is the third) so it was made later in the war. There were three German subvariations of the FN1935 and yours, I think, is of the third. The third subv had 228,000 guns procured so with your # your gun is later in the run....probably made in late 1943 or early 1944...the factory kept production up until Sept 44 or so. The FN1935 was especially popular with the German Army and in particular with the SS. Since several SS divisions fought against our guys in France, it might have come from one of those units.
