Remington Mdl 710 cal.270

Im thinking of buying a used 710 for out of state boar hunting . Its s.think i can crate back and fourth from ohio to florida once a year for about 2 weeks of hog hunting and then back to the vault for storage. Whats the rep. of this rifle ? What ammo does it seem to shoot most acc.? Is it reliable? I have heard many dislikes and likes .....They seem to be a cheaper rifle by rem. and fit my need of a 2 week hunt each year and can be shipped to & from .

  Well the reputation of this rifle...some say it is accurate and reliable...that could quite be. However, it has not much out there for aftermarket dress, and it is basically a disposable rifle...shoot it untill it breaks, then toss it.

  Local gun shop will no longer sell them. If it were me, I'd go with a Marlin XL7 (I think that's the right designation), same chambering.
