TC Bergara barrels
Anyone have any experience with the Bergara barrels for the TC Encore rifles, such as accuracy, fit and overall quality?

I've bought a few (about $160.00 at Grafs) and in general I think they are well made and accurate. I have about 30 barrels from various makers and they compare well.
I have Bergaras in 222 Remington, a 7-08 and a 300 Win Mag. The 222 Remington is every bit as accurate as my Match Grade Machine custom barrels, literally 1 ragged hole for 5 shots @ 100 yds using a Sierra 52 BTHP. The 7-08 does 1" and I haven't put too many rounds through the 300 WM - it's being threaded for a brake, shooting a 6 lb 300 WM is a bit of a challenge.
The finish is not as tough as I'd like, it's easily scratched. I pulled one out of the plastic case and the sharp edge of the case scratched the finish a bit. The edges on the extractor are sharp and a pass or two with a bit of sandpaper helps. I replace the locking lug bolt spring with an aftermarket ""heavy duty" type.
All the screw holes for scope mounting and the forend are deep and done properly, the hinge pin hole fits fine.0
