antique 10 ga shotgun "national"

hello, i am trying to get some info about my neighbors antique shotgun, and a range of its value. it is a double barrel, double hammer, double trigger, side by side 10 ga shotgun (looks like a stagecoach shotgun). the maker says "national" and it says dimiscuss barrel on it. the serial# is a 6 digit starting with 118xxx it has all matching ser# on stock, under trigger, under barrel, and maybe a few other places. it seems to be in good(average) condition for its age, and fully operational (id kinda like to shoot it, lol). there isnt a single 10 ga. "national" listed on gunbroker, and limited info anout it online. thanks for any info about this elusive shotgun.

  probally a cresent or davis made gun they put all kinds of names on them not safe with modern ammo it is a black powder load gun only

  I have nine listings for the name NATIONAL or NATIONAL something or other, just one with the name NATIONAL alone. You have to be specific on posting names completely with no abbreviations or deletions. The one name for NATIONAL alone is for a Belgian made shotgun which is what I suspect you have. Take a look at the bottom of the barrels under the forearm for Belgian proof marks consisting of the letters "ELG"in an oval. Report back please.
