good stater load for 22 250

ok what would be a good started load for a encore 28" bbl 22-250 [?][:D]

I have had good results with both WW760 and IMR 4064 and miraculous results with IMR 8208 XBR. Both using 50 or 55gr VMAXs.

38.0 gr of H380 with any bullet of 50 to 55 grains. You can go on up to 41.0 gr in increments for best load and bullet placement performance. I haven't found anything in powder to beat the old h380 powder yet.

38.5gr H380 under a 52gr SMK pill seated around .025" off the lands

Both manuals and factory websites are full of loads for the .22-250. Go to the source that makes your bullets and pick a load.

I agree with Rocky.
You might achieve higher velocities with the slower end of the suggested powders due to the 28" barrel.

Mine is 34.5 H380. Rem Mag primer sierra 55gr. spsx out of my 40x NOTE! Very Hot DAYS your at max!!!!!!!!!!!!

i've had good service and accuracy with 34 grains of IMR 4895 and 55 grain bullets,just my .02

anything with H380 under it should perform well

38grs of H380 is a sweetheart of 22-250 loads

One more vote for H380. I use 38 gr. w/55 gr. VMax.
