Winchester SX-1 Production Date

I recently purchased a Winchester SX-1 shotgun, Serial No M589xx. Can anyone tell me the date or year of manufacture and if it was produced early, mid, or late in the production run? I cannot seem to find this info anywhere. Thanks.

  There are no published production records or information for the SX-1 shotguns.

  Thanks, Bert. I assume Winchester might have that info on file, so perhaps I'll write and ask. Was hoping to surf it up on the web, but I'll have to return to the caveman method of writing a letter. Thanks again.
