Bofors barrel

Hi There is a nice Sako on gun broker that is supposed to have have a bofors barrel. It's a 338 with a serial number 501XXX. Can a serial number that high be a bofors barrel? Thanks

  Bofors should be stamped on the barrel.

  "Bofors Steel" on the barrel should answer the question re: the barrel itself, but NOT whether the barrel is original to the gun.
  I suspect someone in the know will be along shortly, but if not you should try the Sako forum.
