IT 'SOUNDS LIKE' A GRIFFIN & HOWE MOUNT, A WEAVER SIDE MOUNT CAN BE MADE TO FIT.

I have a 1903 NRA Springfield Sporter that had a G & H sidemount attached about 70 years ago. There are equidistant 3 screw holes and two pins so I suppose the screw and pin arrangement for any of these set ups can vary. Another popular maker of side mounts was Paul Jaeger of Jenkintown, PA.

The Weaver or Williams sidemount is a good suggestion, if it doesn't fit straight off it can probably be made to fit rather readily.

Thanks, I'll probably get a G & H sidemount base and have it drilled to match the tapped holes in my receiver. Then I'll pick up a used top and rings. Thanks for the help. olhntr

Here is the G & H website showing the side scope mount & rings. You may be able to find them on line used also.
