simmons warranty

Hi, I have a simmons aetec 3.8 12 x 44 bought it around 2001,seems like I remember it having a lifetime warranty.Anyone here know if that warranty is still good or who fixes them?

    i assume you mean a simmons scope and if so yes they carry a lifetime warranty. some years ago i purchased one through midway and when i thought it was not working properly , after calling them, i returned it to them and they handled the warranty business and replaced it with another one of the same model. i am certain you can find their web site and get the warranty infromation you will need to return it

    dusty123---Well, let me rain on your parade. In a nut shell the Simmons warranty is NONEXISTENT. You couldn't give me a truck load of them!!! My last episode with them was about a year ago. Three round on a 270, and the scope rattled like a box of rocks, and you could see the pieces inside. Several phone calls later, and having no luck with Simmons, I threw it away. To even look at it they wanted the warranty, sales receipt, original box, and wrapping. Since I had the scope in the safe for over a year, I had long since thrown all of that away. Never mind that it said
    SIMMONS ALL OVER IT, they were not interested in seeing it, or dealing with MY problem. What a POS, including the company. HAWKSHAW PS Almost forgot, I have another of their scopes on my bench as we speak. Came on a gun I bought. Also, rattles, and you can not see anything in the tube, just black. FYI

    I was going to suggest you contact Simmons but when I looked for their contact point, I couldn't find it. I goggled Simmons Telescope and found out why, they have been bought out by a company named Meade Instruments of California. I did find several telephone numbers
    which are:
    1 866 739 9523
    1 360 388 9000
    Give them a call and see which one is good.

    Just called Bushnell who now owns Simmons and they say warranty is no longer valid but to send it in anyway. They will take a look and may fix it free out of good will or offer me a replacement at a reduced cost. I think I`ll put my money towards a new redfield

    As for rifle scope warranty's Burris and Leupold both have done very well by me the couple of times I needed them.
