please describe the problem in detail.. and what magazine you are using along with type of ammo. when does the feeding problem happen, what does it look like, pictures of the problem would be better. there are many causes, some easy to fix, others not, need more detailed info.
oh yes, welcome to the forum!

The shorter the barrel the more likely you will have Feed trouble, two reasons #1 the barrel tips down and back up at steeper angles because the pivot point is at the front bushing area of the barrel the rear of the barrel still need to go down the same amount to UNLOCK so angle is greater. #2 most likely reason is because of the shorter barrel the bullet will be in the barrel after fired for a shorter length of time This means a shorter recoil impulse. The recoil impulse must be strong enough to FULLY Cycle the pistol . If you don't hold pistol firmly enough the the slide only goes part way back and causes feed trouble. As a quick test load one round in the magazine install magazine and load the gun as ready to shoot. now shoot this one round if the slide does not lock back then the slide has not fully cycled You are the cause of the problem because you are not gripping pistol firm enough. Try this test at least 10 times it must work all 10 times. I suggest a trial of 230 grain Ball ammo if this functions and Jacketed hollow points do not function then the feed area of the barrel need work by either a Gun smith or at least someone that knows How to polish this area.

What are you using as "defense" ammo? Some brands are loaded as a low-recoil to allow quick recovery for double-taps. As perry shooter pointed out the pistol needs the benefit of a full recoil pulse to function well.

Those micros and ultras are very finicky guns.

Im am well aware of the "limp wrist" shooting pit falls. I have been a 1911 and glock shooter my entire adult life. I own multiple pistols of these design. Enough about me, the ammo i was loading was hornady tap. I fired raptor at the range yesterday, all went well with ball ammo. Still had bad luck with the tap ammo. Guess im going to have to find another ammo.

If memory serves me correctly, the Raptor is a Kimber product? Alloy frame? If so, I know Kimber had a bunch of problems with their alloy frames of ALL sizes about 4-5 years ago.
