    The first three digits are the caliber. The last three digits are the bullet type / weight. So you can tell the caliber, but need a reference source for the last three digits. They are listed in the Lyman calalog and reloading book. Maybe the catalog is online?
    Of course, just by looking at the mould cavity you can tell what type bullet it is and the approximate weight.

    i have lots of refrence books and also collect lyman /ideal molds for old and obscure calibers
