    Hi,

was the 219 Zipper cartridge ever chambered for a bolt action rifle? .. If so, what manufacturer(s) & model numbers?

    Kind regards,

    T.D.

Close as your going to get I'm afraid is the .225 Winchester, which came and went pretty quickly. Besides Winchester believe Savage chambered for it.

It is possible that a very very small number of them were made in the Model 70.

Ok, thanks guys. Reason I asked is my dad (passed) used to have a 219 and I always thought it was of a bolt variety. ... He had the 218 Bee also, each now long sold off before I had a chance at them.

    Regards all,

    T.D.

Only .219 Zipper I've seen or heard of were Marlin 336SC and Winchester 64, both lever actions, and limited production.

I heard rumors of pre 64 model 70s in 219 Zipper, it's kinda like Big Foot, I've never had my hands on one but I've heard stories.

Approximately 10% of the total Winchester Model 64 production were 219 Zippers (6,600).
