    Combat medic/X-ray tech.

ASVABs and DLAB were pegged near max; they wanted me to learn Arabic for interrogator specialist, but a drinking ticket made me a security risk.

0311. When I got to Nam, Recon was gettin' their asses kicked so I got sent up their. Crash Recon school in Nam but no jump or scuba. Lots of map, radio, rappeling and demolitions. One good thing...I was "tail end charlie" so I was issued an M-14 with smoke grenades. No plastic rifle for me!
