Remington 750

Looking at a remington 750 in 308 caliber. Any thoughts pro or con about the gun / caliber

  Yes, I have some thoughts about Big Green's 750. With their track record being not good with that style auto-loader, I would NOT entertain the idea of owning one myself. The past has shown their model's 740, 742, 7400, and model Four with a very spotty history. Not reliable, and very finicky.
  
  If you want a hunting type auto-loader, then the Browning BAR, Long/Short trak, or the Winchester SXR are the way to go.

  jaxx12---I have a brand new 750---243 back to Rem. as we speak. First two round---failed to eject because the ejector pin is stock in the bolt face, in a flush position. They've had it for a month. Horse!&*&%#!

  I'm a remington fan and collect the 760 but for the semi get the Browning Bar

  Thanks for the advise - just stopped at my local gun shop and looked at the browning. They feel the same way about the 750.
