    Hello Farmer
IMHO----If I ever have to use a concealed handgun in defense of my life, or others, I have but one goal in mind----That is to put as many GREAT BIG HOLES in the perpetrator as possible. And I want to do it as quickly as possible. The fun and games are over!!!!! By that time I have exhausted all alternative plans such as escaping etc. I carry a .45, Glock 30

IMO 9mm is perfectly fine for a CCW.

Despite the popular conception, 9mms aren't weak. They're more powerful than .38+P (which is still probably the benchmark in small concealed carry guns) and actually lie midway in power between .38s and .357 magnum.

40SW will give you a little more power yes, but at the cost of more recoil, less capacity, and more expense per round. If you love your setup, why change it?

On holes, two 9mms still create more "hole" than one .45 [;)]

Ultimately, its not about what you carry, its about using it right. If you're comfortable with the platform, and can place the shots when you need to, .45 could work, .40SW could work, 9mm could work, and others could as well.

If you're not comfortable with what you have (for whatever reason), then I'd say change it.

I like the Glock 30sf and it has less felt recoil than it's counter part the 40.
