Colt MK lll Trooper w/vent rib

Can anyone tell me more about a Colt MK III Trooper with a vent rib barrel and what i think is Coltguard finish. Is it rare, and a possible value ?

  Your Colt Trooper MK-III, while not rare is collectable, as most all Colt's are. When you refer to Coltguard finish, the Blue Book, not that it is any authority, lists it as nickel. A gun like yours lists for $600.00, in NIB condition, depending on what caliber it is chambered in. The 22 Magnums are indeed rare.
