    I can offer no help because all my references are on breech loading shotguns made after 1865. But may I suggest you ask your question on the Antique Arms site. There is an English correspondent there who is quite knowledgeable on English made guns

    W F Mills of that address was gunmaker to Queen Victoria. Patented a few unique arms. Believe he died in 1831, not sure. Guns seemed to be very good quality, but I am not competent to comment of value of yours, epecially with no idea of condition- and NO PICTURES !!!

    High Holborn street London seems to have been knee deep in gunmakers. May have working relation to other smiths in that area- POSSIBLY Manton. By all means DO pursue on any antique forum you can find- and there MAY be some Brit gun forums.
