Sizing Dies

The usual drill is to start with a loaded round with your brass and bullet. Use regular dies or have somebody make up a dummy for you in his. Measure the outside diameter of the neck. Subtract .002" for springback and seating tension, get that size bushing.

Hawk gave great advice. The starting point is .002" tension. Now, after shooting loads to determine the best load, you can buy bushings .001"+ and .001"- from the original bushing. Many times, one or the other bushing will show better results (slightly, if accuracy is your thing) than the original bushing.

I suggest Redding if you want bushing style dies and bushings.
