11-87 left hand

I am looking at purchasing an 11-87 remington 12 gauge shotgun. The gun is a left handed gun but the saftey is set up for right hand.
Can I change it back to a left hand safety. It is a push button safety.

Do you have to replace and find parts to change it back.

  It all depends on what was changed, and/or added when it was converted to right hand. We wouldn't be able to determine that without looking at it. Seeing that you had to ask that question, I would take it to a competant gunsmith, as it would not be something for a novice to do.

  I am looking to purchase it and can not take it apart before purchase. Other remingtons you can reverse the parts but I have not worked on a 11-87 that is why I asked.
