California & Guns
If I get a buyer and his FFL is in California that wins an auction for one of my guns knowing full well the make and model, I'm inclined to ship it to them. If California doesn't like it, what are they going to do... send Arnie after me in Texas? I know he's probably looking for work now, but I'd rather see him make Terminator XIX or whatever.[:)]

It is up to the CA dealer to determine if a particular firearm is eligible for retail sale in CA (dealers have very few restrictions on what we can have shipped to us for our own inventory) because he will be the one doing the actual transfer. If he accepts the firearm then it is his problem and not yours. 0 -

So it looks like it would be prudent to make sure that the buyer's FFL knows what he will be receiving for his customer.

If you are not an FFL dealer you'd better contact the dealer (any dealer, not just those in CA), to ensure that he will accept a firearms shipment from a private party. Lots (and I do mean LOTS) of FFLs will only accept firearms coming in from other dealers. Find out well ahead of time before you tape the shipping box closed and drive to UPS (or wherever you are shipping).0
